KDOT reports partially snowpacked and icy roads around the Wichita area thanks to the morning snow. As a result, expect traffic be to moving a little slower than normal.
Wichita's Eisenhower National Airport has reported 0.6" of snow through 8:15 a.m. and we have some weather observation reports of up to 0.5" in central Wichita. In downtown Arkansas City, we have a report of 2.8" of snow. That's from the emergency manager there.
Strong winds are creating blowing snow and drifting conditions, along with reduced visibilities. If you have to be out this morning, please slow down and use caution.
