A woman in her mid-30s has died in Harvey County after a traffic accident involving the collision of a vehicle and a semi-truck late Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on Kansas Road (west of I-135), south of Newton, and north of SW 60th Street. The crash site is between the towns of Newton & Sedgwick.
Investigators say an SUV was traveling north-bound in the 5600 block of S. Kansas Avenue when it rear-ended a semi- as the truck was making a delivery to a home.
The female victim was driving the SUV; she died at the scene.
