At Tuesday's Wichita Board of Education meeting, the board got an update on the district's continuous learning plan for the upcoming school year.
USD 259 Deputy Superintendent Dr.Tiffinie Irving says there are three options for starting the new school year. The on-site option brings back the majority of district staff and students to the physical school environment with health and safety guidelines in place. The blended or hybrid model would be used if the district had to pivot quickly in the event of a public health emergency and would be a combination of in-person and remote learning. The third option is for learning to take place esxclusively online.
Dr. Irving says the district is planning to announce their final plan on July 20th.
