Wichita fire crews battled a two-alarm building fire early Wednesday morning in east Wichita. Just before two a.m. firefighters responded to a blaze at a liquor store in a small strip mall at Central and Cleveland.
According to Wichita Fire Chief Tammy Snow dispatchers issued a second alarm, sending more fire crews to the scene around 2:10 a.m.
"As soon as they got it knocked down, said Chief Snow, "we sent crews inside to ensure that it hadn't traveled the length of the strip mall to the east."
No injuries were reported. The fire department is still working to determine a cause of the fire.
