The city of Wichita received a clean bill of health on their finances for 2022.
Mayor Brandon Whipple confirmed the data with Brian Stavenger, representing Eide Bailly, the city's external auditor. The firm reports no findings on the city’s financial standings last year.
Part of the audit looks at federal funding received by the city, including housing vouchers, airport improvement program dollars and WIFIA funding, which the city is using to construct the new Northwest water treatment facility.
In 2021, the city won an award for excellence in financial reporting for the 49th consecutive year.
