The Reno County Sheriff’s Office says two bodies were found east of Hutchinson and they are searching for a person of interest in the case.
Authorities were called to the area near 4th and Palomino Trail Friday evening for a welfare check of a person who had not been seen or spoken to since Wednesday.
Deputies searched the property and found a body believed to be of the missing person. After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found a second body. Authorities believe the deaths were due to foul play.
The sheriff’s office says a person of interest in the case is Kyle V. Hardwick. He is a white male and is possibly driving a red 2000 Ford F-150 extended cab truck with a veteran tag. He may also be traveling by bus and is considered armed and dangerous. If you know his whereabouts, you are asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers of Reno County at 620-694-2666.
