Boeing has contributed more than $82,000 to support an education program by League 42.
Following the 2024 theft of the Jackie Robinson statue from the league’s home field, the company reached out to the nonprofit to offer assistance. League 42 provides Little League baseball opportunities for children who may not otherwise be able to participate due to financial barriers.
After the statue was taken in January, the league received an outpouring of local and national support. League 42 says one of the companies that reached out was Boeing. The company agreed to sponsor the league’s Bright Lights Education Enrichment Program, which works to bolster children’s math and reading skills. The company recently donated $82,700 to help support the program.
