At about 10:00 a.m. Monday, emergency crews responded northwest of Wichita to the scene of a crash at 29th Street North & 167th Street West.

Investigators determined a trash truck was stopped. The driver of the trash truck was bringing a cart to the back of the vehicle as a pickup truck was stopped behind the trash truck. A van north-bound on 167th Street hit the pickup truck.
Two people in the pickup truck were hospitalized in serious condition; another victim received minor injuries.
