City of Wichita approves program to help suspended drivers

The Wichita City Council has approved a $157 thousand contract with Kansas Legal Services, to help provide a roadmap for those who have lost their driver's license.

A steering committee made up of local judges, District Attorney Marc Bennett and others, recommended the creation of the Wichita Area Restoration Program, or WARP for short.

The city says over 200,000 Kansans have suspended driver’s licenses, with roughly 25% of them in the Wichita area.
