Sedgwick County Commissioners, during a special session, took no action on a proposed mask mandate on Friday.
Sedgwick County Health Officer, Dr. Garold Minns had proposed a Public Health Order that would require the public to wear a mask or other face coverings. However, the order could not become effective unless the commissioners voted to approve.
They decided to receive and file the proposed mandate which means that they could revisit the proposed mask mandate at a later date.
