Wellington Public Schools announced on their web page that all USD 353 schools are temporarily closed.
The Sumner County Health Department, and school officials deemed that 3 of their 6 buildings are COVID-19 outbreak schools.
They are temporarily closing all schools and suspending sports practices and other school related events.
The closure will last from Friday Aug. 27, until Tuesday September 7. Adjustments for learning will be made once school resumes following Labor Day.
