Drivers in east Wichita: a detour may slow down your commute starting Monday.
The city will begin repairs to southbound Woodlawn starting Monday, September 15. As a result, southbound Woodlawn south of Central will be closed for approximately one week. Local traffic will be allowed south of Central to 2nd Street. The detour route will utilize Central, Oliver, and Douglas streets.
Starting Monday, September 22, northbound Woodlawn will close north of Douglas to complete the pipe and pavement repairs. Work is expected to last one week. The detour route will utilize Douglas, Oliver, and Central streets again.
