A recently formed KBI task force has seized approximately 25,000 counterfeit fentanyl-laced pills in east Wichita.
At around 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, an investigation by the Joint Fentanyl Impact Team and the Kansas Highway Patrol led to the seizure of around 11 1/2 lbs. of counterfeit oxycodone pills, commonly referred to as “dirty 30s,” near Central and Oliver.
A Wichita man, 27, was detained and questioned for being in possession of the pills. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail, on charges related to outstanding warrants. Additional charges are pending.
