
Ahead of a week where Kansas is forecast to receive multiple rounds of winter weather, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly declared a disaster emergency. The declaration allows for the use of resources to provide state assistance.
Meteorologists in the state have been warning residents to be prepared for back-to-back winter storms that could blanket the state with snow and ice, making travel treacherous and causing power outages. Two rounds of snow are expected, one Monday into Tuesday and another Wednesday into Thursday.
