Two people were killed in a fatal car crash in Harvey County.
It happened around 2:10 p.m. Saturday, on I-135 near mile marker 28. One vehicle was traveling south on I-135 when for an unknown reason it crossed the median into the path of a northbound freight line commercial vehicle. That vehicle struck the passenger side of the southbound vehicle, killing the driver, a woman in 60s and her male passenger in his 70s.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash and will release the names of the victims after next of kin have been contacted.
