Before the Aug. 2 primary election and special election on a proposed anti-abortion amendment to the Kansas Constitution, Kansans have one week to register to vote or change their party affiliation.

Any registered voter in Kansas, regardless of partisan affiliation, may vote in the constitutional amendment election, although only those with a partisan association may do so in the primary.

Voter registration is open through July 12th. Soon after, voters who have previously requested an advance mail ballot will receive it; on July 13, counties will start mailing those ballots to voters.

Residents with a Kansas ID can register to vote or change their registration information online. Check registration status here: portal.
