Lansing woman found safe, Silver Alert canceled

UPDATE: The Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Lansing woman.

(KBI) that Frances Kraft, 87, was located safe in Lafayette County, Missouri. She is in good condition.

The statewide silver alert is now canceled.

The Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Lansing woman.

The whereabouts of Frances Kraft, 87, are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate her.

Kraft was last seen at her Lansing home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. It is believed she was at a Dillon’s grocery store in Leavenworth until around 11:30 a.m., but she has not returned home. She was driving a maroon 2002 Honda Accord bearing tag 9049AEU.

Kraft is a white woman, 5' 7" tall and weighs around 135 lbs. She has hazel eyes, grey hair, and wears glasses. Kraft was last seen wearing a light blue button-up blouse, white jeans and tennis shoes. Kraft has dementia.
