A Kansas man has been arrested after allegedly handcuffing his wife to a pole in their basement.
It happened Thursday in the 100 block of E. 4th in Assaria.. Police say the man and his wife got into an argument that turned violent. After she was handcuffed, the man took her cellphone and left for work, leaving two small children unattended.
The woman managed to get the attention of a neighbor for help. The man was arrested at his workplace on suspicion of aggravated battery, kidnapping, two counts of endangering a child, and intimidation of a witness.
