Police say a young girl was sexually assaulted while waiting for her school bus in south Wichita. Officers were called to the 1500 block of S. Kansas, near Harry and Hydraulic at 5:45 a.m. Monday morning.
The investigation revealed that the minor was waiting for the school bus when she was approached by a man, 31, not known to her. The suspect lured the minor into a vehicle and committed the assault.
Officers quickly located the suspect, who was taken into custody and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
The investigation is still ongoing.
