The man charged in the dragging death of a teenage Wichita girl has been sentenced.
Kevin Palmer, 37, will serve just over forty one years in prison for the death of Brianna Ibarra, 13.
Prosecutors stated that Palmer stole a vehicle with the girl in the back seat. She tried to get out but got caught in the seat belt and was dragged for several miles.
Palmer was originally charged with murder in the first degree in the commission of a felony and theft of property.
He pleaded guilty in August to second-degree murder.
