Davis was found badly burned and beaten at Fairmount Park. She died days later but was able to tell investigators about her attack.
Witnesses for the prosecution included testimony from paramedics, firefighters and police. Nurses, doctors, investigators, and a forensic pathologist also testified.
The defense argued that the state failed to investigate all leads and pinned the crime on McNeal.
Closing arguments are set for Thursday.
