A McPherson Day Care Provider was in court Wednesday, accused of leaving several children unsupervised, and driving while intoxicated.
Tracy Barr, 47, has been charged with DUI and five counts of child endangerment. Police say last month, four young children left her daycare home and walked to another nearby yard with an open pool. Officers discovered the children and placed them in protective custody until they could be picked up by their parents. There were no injuries.
When officers arrived at Barr's home, the observed her drive up with another child in the vehicle. They were able to determine that she had been drinking, and placed her in custody,
The state has suspended her day care license, pending appeal.
