A man is dead and a woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night in south Wichita.
It happened around 11:07 p.m., in the 1900 block of S. Southwest Boulevard. When Wichita Police officers arrived, they found two injured pedestrians: a 26-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man. Both were transported to a local hospital, where the man, identified as Joseph Cox of Wichita, died from his injuries.
Police say they have identified the driver involved and once the investigation is complete, they will present the case to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office for potential charging considerations.
