A popular community event promoting outdoor activity and local engagement is set to return this weekend.
Open Streets ICT will take place Sunday 12n-4p in Wichita’s Nomar District, giving residents a chance to walk, bike, and explore the area without vehicle traffic. Several blocks will be closed to cars, creating a safe, open space for people of all ages to enjoy.
Organizers say the event is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles while highlighting local businesses and organizations. Along the route, attendees can expect a mix of live entertainment, food vendors, fitness activities, and interactive booths.
The event is free and open to the public, with activities scheduled throughout the day. Community members are encouraged to bring bikes, strollers or simply come out for a walk and take in the atmosphere.
Open Streets ICT is part of a broader effort to promote active living and strengthen connections within Wichita neighborhoods.
