A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle on I-135 in Newton. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol it happened Saturday night just before 10:30 p.m. southbound on I-135 in Newton near East 1st Street.
A pedestrian, identified as 22-year-old Aubrie-Li C. Lakey, was struck by a southbound SUV. There were three people in the SUV, none were reported injured. The crash is under investigation.
