A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in southeast Wichita early Saturday morning.
It happened a little after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Lincoln and Oliver. Wichita Police say a motorist driving north on Oliver struck the pedestrian, who was wearing all black and lying in the inside lane of the roadway.
The pedestrian was transported to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition and died just before 2 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
