Wichita Police Chief Joseph Sullivan plans to suspend the entertainment license for City Nightz, the nightclub where nine people were shot, and two others were injured, early Sunday morning.
The club is already on restrictions-imposed Sunday to limit operating hours, restrict alcohol sales and prohibit live entertainment.
Chief Sullivan says this is the 12th violent incident to take place at City Nightz this year. The club had already been given a security and safety plan to follow this past May, following a fatal drive-by shooting.
He adds that he's also working with the Kansas Department of Revenue to suspend the club's liquor license.
Chief Sullivan says he plans to use every legal means he can to make sure the club is closed down. And if they ever do re-open, it would be with proper management and safety guidelines.
