
We have an update on three teens who were hurt in a shooting Friday evening in north Wichita.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at Dr. Glen Dey Park, in the area of 29th Street North and Grove. Wichita Police tell our partners at 12 News that the shooting followed a pool party and that when the crime occurred around 100 to 200 people were in the park.
A 16-year-old girl underwent surgery and as of Saturday evening, was listed in critical but stable condition. Two 19-year-old victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Two vehicles crashed as people tried to flee the park in the wake of the shooting but no serious injuries were reported.
Police say shell casings found in a parking lot and in the street came from different caliber weapons. The investigation continues.
