Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle crash early Sunday in northeast Wichita that left one person with critical injuries.
It happened a little after 5 a.m. Sunday, north of the intersection of 37th Street N. and Rock Road, in Willowbend. Wichita Police believe the vehicle missed the curve, jumped the curb and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a man in his late teens or early twenties, was unconscious inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Wichita Fire crews. He was taken to a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
