Police are investigating a shooting near downtown Wichita. It happened just after 1:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of north Topeka.
Officers found a woman who was apparently shot in the head with a pellet or BB gun. She was reported in good condition after being transported to an area hospital.
Investigators say the incident began with a verbal altercation with a person the woman knows, but no arrests have been made.
The incident remains under investigation.
