Saturday, is National Drug Take-Back Day. The goal is to keep unused medications out of the wrong hands.
Drop-off locations are accepting unwanted, or expired medications so they can be safely disposed of.
Wesley Healthcare spokesman Scott Evans Says the program begin in 2010, and has collected more than 118 Tons of medications have been collected and disposed of in Kansas.
Wesley is holding their annual Crush the Crisis event at Central and Hillside from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., to help raise awareness about the dangers of Opioid misuse, and how to safely dispose of outdated medications.
