A second patient has sued Wichita's Ascension Via Christi Hospital after a man allegedly sexually assaulted her and 2 other patients in their hospital rooms last month.

According to this latest lawsuit, the woman, 82, says she woke up in her hospital room and found a stranger kissing her on the mouth.

A nurse technician responded to a bed alarm and found the man in her room.  He was later apprehended on another floor in the room of a third woman.

Miguel Rodela, 28, was arrested following the alleged assaults on 3-patients that took place on June 15

He's charged with rape and two counts of attempted rape.

The law firm representing this second alleged victim said in a statement, weather this was caused by failed security, poor procedures, understaffing, or some combination of the above, they will get to the bottom of it.

The latest lawsuit seeks in excess of $75,000.

The hospital declined to comment any further on the lawsuits.
