At Wednesday's Sedgwick County Commission meeting, the board said goodbye to Sarah Lopez from District 2 and David Dennis from District 3.
Sarah Lopez thanked her family for standing by her during her 4 years as commissioner.
David Dennis is retiring after serving 8 years on the board. He says his family, especially his wife, did so much for him during his long career in the military and education.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, former Wichita city council member Jeff Blubaugh will be sworn in as the new Commissioner for District 2, while Stephanie Wise will be sworn in as the new commissioner for District 3.
