At Wednesday's Sedgwick County Commission meeting, the board deferred two agenda items for two weeks for more consideration.
The board discussed a contract with promoters for the Dam Jam event, scheduled for July 18th through July 20th at Lake Afton.
Commissioner David Dennis said the county dodged a bullet with respect to last summer's event and is worried about staffing levels at the site.
The county hopes to address the concerns by February 7.
Commissioners also discussed a zoning case for an event venue at 215 Street West and 37th Street North. Property changes have necessitated the zoning proposals. Commissioners deferred the item to address noise concerns and effects on future development in the area.
