An inmate at the Sedgwick County Jai has died. The Sheriff's Department reports that a inmate, 65, who was in the medical infirmary was transported to an area Hospital for ongoing medical issues.
The inmate's condition worsened at the hospital, and he was pronounced dead around 8:00 p.m. Monday night. An autopsy is pending.
The inmate's family has been notified, and his identity is being withheld at their request.
