Just like the city of Wichita, Sedgwick County also presented their proposed maximum budget for 2024 during a special meeting Tuesday afternoon. The budget totals $518,464,784 million, which will be supported by a property tax amount of $188,880,368, which is equivalent to 29.370 mils.
You can look at the budget for yourself and provide feedback to county leaders. The county will also hold two public hearings in August: on the 2nd at 6 p.m. and on the 23rd at 9 a.m. when the final budget is adopted.
