Every year the Sedgwick County Commission selects their Chairman during the meeting in the second week of January. Current Commission Chairman Ryan Baty tells us about the selection process, this year's likely candidates, and previews the upcoming meeting during his weekly appearance on KNSS' Woodward and Whit.
At Wednesday's meeting, commissioners will also discuss offering a contract for a new county appraiser. Mark Clark retired at the end of June last year, with Brent Shelton serving as interim appraiser the rest of the 2025.
