The Wichita City Council approved revenue bonds to help rehabilitate four senior public housing projects.

Greenway Manor, McLean Manor, Rosa Gragg and Bernice Hutcherson would be renovated in 3 phases over a roughly 2-year timeframe. The bonds are worth $17.3 million, while the overall investment in the project is worth nearly $33.5 million.

The city signed an agreement for the Rennick and Rennick 2nd Addition residental development located at 45th Street North and Hoover Road. The developer will privately contract for design and construction of the public improvements, while the city's engineering staff will complete oversight and inspection.

The city announced the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) grant application period has been extended to May 4th. The program helps low-income elderly residents make repairs and modifications to help them live safely at home.
