A severe thunderstorm rolled through the Wichita area Friday afternoon, bringing strong winds that downed trees and power lines.
First responders were called to the area of Grove and Shadybrook due to downed tree limbs. A large tree was reported down at Vine and Maple, and scattered outages were reported due to downed power lines.
The storm produced winds of 60 to 70 mph, and heavy rains. The strongest wind gust was 85 mph reported at Yates Center.
