Have you or someone you know battled a cold or flu this Fall? Sedgwick County Health Director Adrienne Byrne tells KNSS News the cold and flu season came early and it's been "severe." Byrne says she has no numbers because flu cases are not reported unless there is the death of a child. But local hospitals have been busy treating flu and cold cases.
Byrne says the holidays mean people are gathering in close quarters, and that means we'll see upticks in cold and flu cases. She says it's not too late to get a flu and/or COVID booster shot.
