The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the Dodge City Police Department and the Ford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at a restaurant and bar in Dodge City.
At 1:12 a.m., 911 calls reported shots fired at Central Station Bar and Grill in Dodge City. When Dodge City Police officers and Ford County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found four men who had suffered gunshot wounds.
Investigators say an altercation occurred and the suspect, Ricardo Johary Cadena-Garcia, 36, used a small caliber handgun to shoot a 29-year-old man who died at the scene. Cadena-Garcia fired additional rounds that struck three more men and then fled the area.
The three shooting victims were taken to an area hospital but a 28-year-old man died from his injuries. A 40-year-old man was flown to a Wichita hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 27-year-old man was treated and released from the hospital.

Authorities believe Cadena-Garcia has headed south, and is no longer in Kansas. He is believed to be driving a white 2011 Dodge Ram pickup with Kansas tag 731 SBJ. Cadena-Garcia is Hispanic, approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing around 270 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a large black tattoo on his neck.
