There were no injuries in a weekend gas explosion at a south Hutchinson auto parts store. However, parts of the area remain blocked off, and some neighboring businesses are still unable to have access to their buildings.
Several crews from multiple agencies are working to make sure the area is safe.
Steffens Auto Parts Owner Darin Clifford says, he opened his door to firefighters asking if he smelled gas? That's when they rushed him out of the building, seconds before it exploded.
The National Transportation Safety Board is now in Hutchinson to investigate the gas leak and explosion.
A preliminary report is expected to take about a month.
