Today is National French Fry Day -- which got personnel at "Steve and Ted in the Morning" to salivating as they contemplated the tasty array of french fries throughout the Wichita area.
Steve McIntosh is a fan of the fries at Fizz Burgers & Bottles on E. 37th Street North; so is Ted Woodward, who's also a devotee of the pecan dipping sauce offered as an option at Fizz.
Ted is of the mindset that Barn'rds fries with their garlic-salt crisp may be the best fries in town. However, since Barn'rds moved from its long-time location in E. Wichita out west to N. Maize Road, Ted regrets he doesn't get the Barn'rds fries nearly as often as he used to.
Ted also votes for the crinkle fries at Charcoal Grill at 29th & Arkansas, which he has lately taken to dipping in a side cup of chili!
Other favorites of ours include the fries at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers; Ty's Diner; the duck-fat fries or truffle fries at Dempsey's; the steak fries at Harry's Uptown Bar & Grill; and the new crinkle fries at Arby's.
