At Tuesday's workshop meeting, the Wichita City Council will talk about a program to plant more trees in the city, to protect the environment. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News some people are very "driven" by the issue of trees and "where do you put these so that you fill in the spots where trees have been taken out and not replaced?"
The workshop will look at allocating federal pandemic recovery money. Mayor Whipple says the city started out with $72 million, and still hasn't spent it all.
Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
