Wichita Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a 35-year-old man hospitalized.
Just before 2:50 a.m. Saturday, police were notified that a walk-in shooting victim had arrived at St. Francis hospital.
The victim told police he was walking in the area of S. Seneca and W. McCormick when an unknown man approached him, demanded his belongings and then shot him in the torso.
Officers went to the area of the reported shooting, but found nothing. The investigation remains active.
Police say the victim is expected to survive.
