A teenager is dead after a shooting Sunday night in east Wichita. Wichita Police say it occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Lulu.
On arrival officers found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The boy was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Investigators learned an unknown suspect shot the boy after the teen approached the suspect's car. The suspect then fled the scene. Police ask anyone with information to contact Wichita/Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers online or at (316) 267-2111.
