A teenager has passed away after being shot on June 23rd in southeast Wichita. The incident happened around 4:00 a.m. in the 5300 block of east Countryside.
Police said Kahleb Engram, 17, died Monday, and his death is now considered a homicide. Officers found Engram in his car in front of a home. He was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
Investigators described the incident as a "walk-by shooting." They say Engram was in the car when someone walked up to the car and opened fire.
