Six thousand Wichita Spirit AeroSystems employees, a key supplier to Boeing, will return to work on Wednesday after a brief walkout last week.
A new contract was approved by 63% of the workers who voted on Thursday.
When compared to the rejected offer, the International Association of Machinists stated it had "significant improvements" in salaries, overtime rules, and prescription-drug coverage.
Spirit manufactures the fuselage for Boeing 737 Max jets as well as other components for airline and military planes made by Boeing, Airbus, and others. Boeing had supply-chain issues at Spirit and engine suppliers, and an extended strike at Spirit would have exacerbated such difficulties.
