Winners advance in Sedgwick County Primary races

Here's how the race for the Wichita City Council District 4 seat played out.

Dalton Glasscock received 50% of the vote and Judy Pierce received 24%.  They both will advance to the November general election.


Glasscock had been appointed to the Sedgwick County Commission following the resignation of Michael O'Donnell.

The race will fill the seat being vacated by Jeff Blubaugh due to term limits.

Wichita School Board -

The top two vote getters for the At Large seat for the Wichita School Board are Melody McCray-Miller with 54% of the vote.  And Brent Davis who received 24%.

The winner in November will fill the At Large seat on the school board.  The only seat to be voted on by all voters and not just individual districts.

Park City Tax -

The question of a $.01 sales tax in Park City was approved with 377 votes or 58%. There were 272 no votes or 42%.

The funds will go to city needs such as infrastructure and law enforcement.

However, food for homebound residents, prescription drugs, and medical devices are exempt from the new tax.
