A woman and her son were seriously injured after a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of a Winfield business.
A Ford F-150 pickup truck was in a parking lot at 1902 S. Main Street, a Pizza Hut, just after 11:00 p.m.
The truck struck a woman and a child, and then left the scene. The female victim, a 30-year-old from Burden, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A relative says the victims are a mother and her small son.
Winfield police pulled over the pickup a short time after the hit-and-run; a 23-year-old Winfield woman was driving the truck, and there was a juvenile with her.
At the Cowley County Jail, the female suspect was booked on suspicion of DUI, and the crash.
